JACOB BURNS
Personal Stats DOB: January 1978 Birthplace: Sydney Height: 5'10"
Profile Jacob Burns became the latest Australian addition to the Leeds squad when David O'Leary splashed out £250,000 to bring him from Sydney based club Parramatta Power in August 2000. A left sided defender or midfielder, Burns grew up with United ace Harry Kewell and his switch to Elland Road sees the two re-united after Kewell left for England when he was 16 years old. Burns was a member of the 1996 Australian Olympic squad and has also represented the Socceroos in 1999. The 22 year old favours a role on the left of midfield, but is versatile and has played at the back and in attack.
